Private Guitar, Ukulele or Bass Lessons for 4th-12th Grade Boys and Girls
Hello! I have been playing guitar and bass professionally for over twenty five years, and ukulele for five years. Before I was a pastor, I was a full-time musician. I still play every week at my church, and am experienced in many styles. I’ve also been a part time music teacher since 1998.
I teach a well-rounded approach that includes strumming, single note picking, and music reading. I can also design a lesson plan around a student’s specific goals and ambitions. For example, some would like to focus on playing in the church worship band. I can also teach classical guitar. If you’re not familiar with that style, here’s an example of my son playing classical guitar.
I teach Wednesday afternoons at South Suburban Evangelical Free church. I teach 1/2 hour lessons and my available times are Wednesday afternoons from 12:00-5:00. The Spring semester is thirteen weeks beginning on Wednesday, January 31st through May 2nd, with a recital on Tuesday, May 8th. We’ll have Spring break on March 28th. To reserve your spot, please contact me, and let me know your preferred time, along with a 2nd choice.
Lessons will be at South Suburban Evangelical Free Church in room 164. Enter the side entrance on the East side. The address is:
12600 Johnny Cake Ridge Rd
Apple Valley, MN 55124
After entering, go right and then down the hall. Room 164 is on the left.
$22/half hour lesson. The cost to register and reserve your spot is $50 (non-refundable), with the balance due ($236) at the first lesson. To schedule lessons, email me through my contact page. Also, see policies page for more details. Also, see my schedule page for availability.
At the end of each semester, your student will have an opportunity to show family and friends what they’ve learned at our class recital. It’s a wonderful time to see your child shine!
